What Is The Notice Period Of Resignation Letters?

Resignation is a way of terminating the employment contract for any possible reason, even if there is no just cause. The “prior notice”, however, must be respected. If the employee does not comply, in whole or in part, he is obliged to pay compensation equal to the base salary and seniority accumulated during the notice period (Article 401 of the Labor Code).

As can be seen in the examples of the resignation letters above, in open-ended contracts, this period is 30 days for workers with seniority of up to 2 years and 60 days if seniority exceeds 2 years.

In fixed-term contracts, all these values ​​are halved.
